Lucy V. Pyles Popp
Lucy V. Pyles Popp, 91, of Columbus, Ohio, formerly of Morgan Township, Greene County, died at 7:15 a.m. Friday, January 26, 2018, in a Columbus hospital.
She was born July 19, 1926, in Morgan Township, Greene County, a daughter of the late Mary E. Fordyce Pyles and John K. Pyles.
Mrs. Popp graduated from Jefferson-Morgan High School, Greene County.
She worked at Kroger in Columbus for 30 years, then retired.
Surviving are her husband, George Popp of Columbus, whom she married November 27, 1947; a sister, Emma (Raymond) Smith of Washington; brother-in-law Kenneth Davis of Waynesburg; many nieces and nephews, including Maryann Darney of Brighton, Mich., Linda Wozolek of Washington, Ronnie Krupzig of Belle Vernon, Janet Jenko of California, Judy Dulaney of Waynesburg, Patty Dulaney of Waynesburg, Barbara (Nick) Dubina of Washington, Phyllis Smith of Washington, Kimberly Pyles of Carmichaels, Robbin Howes of Clarksville, Thomas (Beverly) Holmes of Washington, Terry Lee (Patti) Pyles of Waynesburg, Gary Pyles of South Carolina, Debbie Tharp of Waynesburg, Randy Pyles, Mike Pyles, JD Pyles of Columbia, Ohio, Michelle Deditch of Marianna and Kenneth (Karen) Turner of Prosperity; many great-nieces and great-nephews; and many great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.
Deceased, in addition to her parents, are five sisters, Pearl (Henry) Patterson, Nellie (John) Krupzig, Ethel (Thomas) Holmes, Mildred (Kenneth) Davis and Jean (Kenneth) Turner; two brothers, Harry (Pauline) Pyles and John Pyles; niece Joan (Toni) Popeck; stepniece Patricia Smitley; and stepnephew Terry Finn.
At the request of the deceased, there was no visitation or service.
