Joetta Lee Motte, 77, of Midway, died Thursday, February 1, 2018, in Washington hospital.

She was born December 8, 1940, in McDonald, a daughter of the late Stanley Jr. and Margaret Eckles Simpson.

Mrs. Motte was a homemaker and 1958 graduate of McDonald High School, where she was head majorette. She also attended Duff’s Business School. She previously worked at The Meadows Casino and EW Curry & Co. in Pittsburgh. She enjoyed reading and shopping, but most of all, spending time with her family and grandchildren.

Surviving are her children, Robyn Motte (Patrick) Cooper of Midway, Peggy Motte (David) McAnany of Midway and Robert N. (Jane) Motte Jr. of Oakdale; brother, Stanley L. (Linda) Simpson III of Savannah, Ga.; 11 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert N. Motte Sr.
