John William Mihalko
John William Mihalko, 83, of Washington, passed away Sunday, October 1, 2017.
He was born August 3, 1934, in Lowber, a son of the late George Mihalko and Mary Mihalko Steadman.
Mr. Mihalko was the beloved husband of the recently deceased Julie Muoio Mihalko.
Surviving are his sister, Cynthia (Ronald) Ciarolla; sister-in-laws Pauline, Janet and Gladys; nieces and nephews, Debbie Nowakowski, Edward Mihalko, Raymond Mihalko, Gregory Mihalko, Kenneth Mihalko, Michelle Worobij, Sherri Mihalko, Kimberly Eckle, Robin Hamilton, Robert Mihalko, Laura Mihalko, Lisa Backus, Barbara Mihalko, Ronald Mihalko, Lori Settle, Hannah Ciarolla; and many great-nieces and great-nephews.
Deceased are four brothers, Edward, Robert, Gene and Ronald Mihalko.
Mr. Mihalko was a veteran of the U.S. Army and worked in the photography industry for many years.
As a young athlete, he was recognized as an outstanding soccer player. He had a hidden talent for cooking and baking with homemade ravioli and pizzelles being his specialties. He was a parishioner of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Washington. He was witty and enjoyed spending time at The Meadows Casino.
A private service was held November 4, 2017.
