Cynthia J. Paul
Cynthia J. Paul, 62, of Canonsburg, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, February 3, 2018, in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh, with her family by her side.
She was born January 24, 1956, in Canonsburg, a daughter of the late August and Mildred J. Verchek Podboy.
Mrs. Paul lived her life in Strabane and Canonsburg, where she was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church.
She was a 1973 graduate of Canon-McMillan Senior High School and a graduate of Pittsburgh Beauty Academy. She was self-employed at her Korner Kut Salon in Strabane for over 30 years. Prior to her retirement, she had been employed at BS Hair in Canonsburg.
Mrs. Paul was an active member at SNPJ Lodge 138 in Strabane, where she volunteered in the kitchen and enjoyed bowling and Balina.
On April 24, 1976, she married Albert E. Paul, who survives.
Also left behind to cherish her memory are her beloved daughter, Ashley Elizabeth Paul and fiancé Nathan Shields of Canonsburg; two sisters, Pamela Trinnes of Bridgeville and Mary (Billy) Kirby of Canonsburg; a brother, David J. (Mary Jane) Podboy of New Cumberland; and several nieces and nephews.
She also leaves behind her beloved dog, Meeka.
At the request of the deceased, there will be no public visitation.
Mrs. Paul’s family welcomes her friends to a celebration of life at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 10, in SNPJ Lodge 138, Strabane.
