Shirley H. Norman
Shirley H. Norman, 90, of Upper St. Clair, passed away peacefully Sunday, February 4, 2018.
Born August 4, 1927, she was a loving daughter of the late Beulah and Joseph Hackenberg; adored wife of the late Niles E. Norman; cherished mother of four children, Nancy (the late Edward) Hutchinson of Corona, Calif., Judy (Ken) Eltschlager of McMurray, Joanne (Blake) Moyer of Grandy, N.C., and Rebecca (Jack) Harbaugh of Gettysburg; cherished grandmother of seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; and dear sister of Barbara Spatz, Ray Hackenberg and the late Nona Gemi.
She enjoyed crafting and crocheting. She was especially known for her talent of making flag pins, which she gave as gifts to brighten others’ days. She was an avid reader and an incredibly giving person.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, February 10, in Friendship Village, 1290 Boyce Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15241. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Cremation and Funeral Care, 3287 Washington Road, McMurray, PA 15317, 724-260-5546.
