Eleanor Ponzoo Carper
Eleanor Ponzoo Carper, 83, of Waynesburg, died at 4:48 p.m. Sunday, February 11, 2018, in Donnell House, Washington.
She was born Monday, March 26, 1934, in Waynesburg, a daughter of the late Homer Ponzoo and Haddie McHenry Ponzoo Baker.
Mrs. Carper was a member of First Christian Church, Waynesburg.
She enjoyed puzzles, reading and bingo. When her health permitted, she enjoyed going on walks. She worked for 36 years as a custodian for Community Bank.
Surviving are two daughters, Charlene Johnson and husband J.J. of Sacramento, Calif., and Robin Kennedy of Waynesburg; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a sister, Marilyn O’Neal of Clarksville; and several nieces and nephews.
At the request of the deceased, there will be no public visitation or services. Burial will be private. Milliken and Throckmorton Funeral Home Inc., Daryl L. Throckmorton, owner/director, 197 North Maiden Street, Waynesburg, PA 15370, is in charge of arrangements.
