Angela Moore Mize
Angela Moore Mize, 57, of Peters Township, passed away Monday, February 12, 2018, surrounded by her husband and daughters, following a courageous battle.
She was the beloved wife of Mitch Mize; loving mother of Lindsey Simon (Michael) Gurk, Alexandra Chase Simon, Whitney Ann Wilcutt, John Mitchell Mize Jr. and Julie Elizabeth (Drew) Nichols; caring grandmother of Lilly and Emory Wilcutt; treasured daughter of Ned and Elaine Ramm; and cherished sister of Lisa Bender and the late Tony Moore. Many loving nieces and nephews also survive.
Mrs. Mize also had another precious grandchild on the way.
She received a bachelor of science degree in nursing from University of Alabama, Birmingham. She felt such joy from helping and caring for people. It ultimately lead her into a successful career as a realtor for Berkshire Hathaway in South Hills.
Mrs. Mize was also a certified scuba diver, exceptional snow skier, ran half-marathons and went skydiving in Nevada with her daughter, Lindsey. She enjoyed the outdoors, hiking, bicycling and the water. Whether it was a lake or ocean, it brought her peace and tranquility, savoring in life’s simplest gifts. Her flowers and garden were a joy in her life; she had a green thumb that always showed at her home. She will be remembered for her strong faith, always putting others before herself, bright personality, shining beauty inside and out, big smile, beautiful blue eyes and huge heart.
Most of all, her greatest gift was her family. She was her husband’s best friend and companion for 19 years, and was a devoted mother, always teaching her children how to live a happy, fulfilling life. She will be truly missed by all whom she has touched.
