Ruth Elizabeth Kelley, 76, of Washington, died Tuesday, February 13, 2018, in Washington Hospital.

She was born October 15, 1941, in Lone Pine, a daughter of the late Albert and Edith Sowers Rasel.

A graduate of Beth-Center High School, she had been a member of First Christian Church.

Mrs. Kelley worked for more than 20 years as an administrator at the Observer-Reporter and volunteered at Canton Township Fire Hall.

She loved spending time with her family, taking care of her special brother, Jim, and attending her grandchildren’s sporting events.

Her husband, Russell William Elliott Jr., died March 13, 2017.

Surviving are a son, John (Tiffany) Kelley of Somerset; two brothers, Duane (Judy) Rasel of South Strabane and Jim Rasel of Washington; and five grandchildren, Bryan McWreath, Kyle McWreath, Evan McWreath, Caitlin Kelley and Liam Kelley.

Deceased are a daughter, Linda Kelley McWreath, and two brothers, Boyd McCoy and Frank McCoy.

Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday and 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, February 19, with the Rev. Stephen Smythers officiating.

Burial will follow at a later date in Lone Pine Cemetery.
