Florence M. DeBlasio

Florence M. DeBlasio, 82, of Canonsburg, passed away peacefully Thursday, February 15, 2018, in Washington Hospital.

She was born January 6, 1936, in Cecil Township, a daughter of the late Anthony and Florence Zgorliski DeBlasio.

She was a 1953 graduate of Cecil High School.

Mrs. DeBlasio was a faithful member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Canonsburg.

She had been employed as a clerk for Judge Cummins in Washington and as a secretary at Canonsburg General Hospital. Prior to 1991, she was employed at the former Western Center, Canonsburg, as a nursing assistant, beginning in 1963. She later worked in St. Patrick cafeteria for many years.

Ms. DeBlasio loved and cherished her family and leaves behind to cherish her memory her beloved daughter, Diana L. Bruno (the late Raymond R. Bruno) of Canonsburg; granddaughters Lindsay A. (Jason) Wilcox and Jennifer L. (Steven) Szuminsky; grandsons Robert J. Spin and Jason A. (Katie) Spin; great-grandchildren Lucia M. Szuminsky and Olivia, Ava and Charlotte Spin; a niece, Terri A. (Rich) Dami and son Mark; and a nephew, Brian (Marsha) Cox.

Deceased are two daughters, Dawn Hilderbrand and Laura A. Spin; and a sister, Elouise Ann Cox.

Friends are welcome from 1 to 4 p.m., the time of services, Sunday, February 18, in Salandra Funeral and Cremation Services Inc., Joseph P. Salandra, funeral director, owner/supervisor, 304 West Pike Street, Canonsburg (724-745-8120), with the Rev. Don Coleman officiating. Private interment in Oak Spring Cemetery, Chartiers Township.
