Heather Lyn Molek Fister
Heather Lyn Molek Fister, 44, of California, passed away Thursday, February 22, 2018.
She was born June 12, 1973, a daughter of John and Jacqueline Molek, who survive.
Ms. Fister was a manager at California Young Men’s Club, an employee at California Hill Gun Club and a bartender at California Italian Club.
She coordinated many benefits over the years through her work to raise funds for Children’s Hospital of UPMC of Pittsburgh, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Muscular Dystrophy Association, Wounded Warriors and various other charities.
Ms. Fister attended California University of Pennsylvania for criminal justice.
Those who knew her know laughter was part of her everyday life, in the best and worst of times. She made an impact on so many lives throughout her journey in life and showed strength, an incredible sense of humor, positivity and selflessness, even from a very early age. And to those who knew her, do not be sad she is gone, but be happy she was here.
She was a loving and devoted mother to her two daughters, with whom she was best friends, Rachel and Ashley Fister. She also leaves behind her loving companion of nine years, Todd Hilling. She is survived and loved forever by sisters Jonny Petros, Missy Molek, Lisa Scherer, Betty Lou King, Jennifer King, Kathy Marran and Cindy Impiccini; brother Michael Molek; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Ms. Fister also leaves behind five cats.
Deceased is a sister, Tammy Molek Burkley.
Family and friends will be notified of a special gathering at a later date.
