Helen Margaret Ruffennach
Helen Margaret “Susie” Ruffennach, 65, of Cincinnati, Ohio, formerly of Primrose, died Friday, February 23, 2018, in her home.
She was born July 12, 1952, in Canonsburg, a daughter of George Edwin and Helen Ann Muth Ankley.
Mrs. Ruffennach was a homemaker and a 1970 graduate of Fort Cherry High School.
She was past treasurer of Mt. Pleasant Township Parks and Recreation, a past Girl Scout leader in Midway, a past member of Fort Cherry Parent Teacher Association and a past Washington County Republican Committee member.
Mrs. Ruffennach enjoyed jigsaw and crossword puzzles and spending time with her grandchildren.
On December 30, 1972, she married Edward Charles Ruffennach Jr., her beloved soulmate of 47 years.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are three daughters, Susan Elizabeth (Terry) Kerr and Callie Ann (Christopher) Shattuck, both of McDonald, and Angela Marie (John) Hunt of Weirton, W.Va.; a son, Edward (Tiffany) Michael Ruffennach of Oakdale; and eight grandchildren, Christopher Anthony and Tyler Robert Kerr, Abbigail Elizabeth Hunt, Ayden Christopher, Archie Edward and Paul Ryan Shattuck and Angelina Elizabeth and Damon Charles Ruffennach.
Deceased are two brothers, George William and Robert Edwin Ankley.
Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday in Nation Funeral Home Inc., 220 East Lincoln Avenue, McDonald. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, March 2, in St. Ann Roman Catholic Church, Bulger, with the Rev. Bob Staszewski as celebrant.
