Evelyn Virginia Ames Bradshaw
Evelyn Virginia Ames Bradshaw, 96, of Daisytown (Clover Hill), passed away Saturday, December 30, 2017, in Thorpe’s Personal Care Home, Charleroi.
She was born February 2, 1921, in Clover Hill, a daughter of the late John Oscar and Lucinda Phillips Ames.
Mrs. Bradshaw was a charter member of Garwood Baptist Church, where she served as a Sunday school teacher and pianist.
She was a homemaker who also enjoyed embroidery and word search puzzles.
On December 15, 1945, she married Robert L. Bradshaw, who died October 19, 2017.
Surviving are two daughters, Linda A. Wolpink (Bill) and Loretta A. Wolpink, both of Clover Hill; seven grandchildren, Jason Wolpink, Roxanne Moore, Vincent Wolpink Jr., Brandi Levers, Jeremy Wolpink, Angela Jutting and Cassie Wolpink; a brother, Lloyd Ames (Sara) of Eighty Four; two sisters, Emma Lou Kistler of Clover Hill and Etta Kokoska of Daisytown; 11 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased, in addition to her parents and husband, are four brothers, Emory, Edwin, Phillip and Francis Ames; and a sister, Edith Morton.
Friends will be received from 1 to 7 p.m. Thursday in Greenlee Funeral Home, 619 Main Street, Bentleyville, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, January 5, with Pastor Kevin Carpenter officiating. Interment will follow in Maple Creek Cemetery.
