Lola Lee Matheny Organ, 85, of Prospect, passed away Saturday evening, January 6, 2018, in Concordia at Fox Chapel, following an illness.

Born August 31, 1932 in Detroit, Mich., she was a daughter of the late Guy Michael and Inez Mae Burnfield Matheny.

She was a faithful member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church of Prospect, where she was the former church secretary for 18 years.

In her early years, she was a secretary at the former Frazier Simplex Office in Washington.

Mrs. Organ enjoyed taking care of her family, and was a former volunteer delivery person for the Connoquenessing Meals On Wheels program.

She is survived by her loving children, Leslie Dawn (Robert) Mortimer of Portersville and Matthew (Jennifer Ekas) Organ of Butler; grandchildren Shane R. (Kaity) Mortimer of Edinburg, Laia Dawn Mortimer of St. Mary’s, Ohio, Lanae Ann Mortimer of Tallulah, La., Adrian Lee (Ashley) Organ of Evans City and Daniel (Patricia) Ekas of Butler; great-grandchildren Hunter and Colten Organ; and nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David G. “Skip” Organ, who passed away February 17, 1999; granddaughter Paige Organ; and four brothers, Richard, Ralph, Kenneth and Roger Matheny.

Visitation will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. Tuesday in Edward L. Raisley Funeral Home, 387 Main Street, Prospect. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 10, in Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Prospect, with her Pastor Gary Brown officiating. Please meet at church. Interment will be in Crown Hill Cemetery, Prospect.
