Geraldine B. Connors
Geraldine B. Connors, 86, of Brownsville, Centerville Borough, passed away Sunday, January 7, 2018, in Westmoreland Hospital.
She was born March 22, 1931, in Bentleyville, a daughter of the late Samuel and Blanche Weaver McClain House Sr.
Mrs. Connors was a 1949 graduate of Centerville High School.
She was a member of First Christian Church, Republic and a Democratic Committee Woman.
She was a homemaker who loved spending time with her family and grandchildren. She also enjoyed art, painting, decorating, cooking, baking, the Steelers and animals, having many pets throughout the years.
Surviving are five children, Martin “Kayo” Connors Sr. (Darlene) of Hopwood, Janice “Tiny” Stitchick (Ernest) of Centerville, Gale “Lea” Corbett (Jack) of McMurray, David “Rocky” Connors (Tracy) of Republic and Irma Connors-Andrews (Tom) of Greensburg; sister Irma Smarsh (Steve) of Riverdale, N.J.; ten grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased, in addition to her parents, is her husband Martin E. Connors Sr., who died September 20, 1999, and a brother, Samuel M. “Junior” House Jr.
Friends will be received Wednesday from 2 to 8 p.m. in John B. Greenlee Funeral Home, 2830 Main Street, Beallsville, where funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, January 11, with Pastor Chuck House officiating. Interment will follow in Taylor Cemetery.
