Mark Anthony Tucci
Mark Anthony Tucci, 68, of Mt. Pleasant, died Monday, January 8, 2018, in UPMC-Shadyside hospital, Pittsburgh.
He was born December 6, 1949, in Washington, a son of the late Amel and Genevieve Parry Tucci.
Mr. Tucci was a member of St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church.
He was a 1967 graduate of Washington High School and received his degree from University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy in 1972. He was a member of Lambda Sigma Rho fraternity.
Mr. Tucci was employed for more than 27 years as a licensed pharmacist for Revco and CVS pharmacies. He was a member of Open Doors for the Handicapped and was also active in delivering Meals on Wheels. He served on the patient advisory committee for all abilities and was a patient representative for DCI in Mt. Pleasant.
The staff of DCI provided him with care and friendship.
He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
Surviving are numerous cousins and close friends.
Deceased, in addition to his parents, are his beloved wife, Judith “Judy” Christie Tucci, who died in July 2016, and a sister, Janet Tucci Schneider, who died in 2011.
Family and friends will be received from 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday in Galone-Caruso Funeral Home, 204 Eagle Street, Mt. Pleasant, where a blessing service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, January 12, followed by a Mass at 11 a.m. in St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church, Mt. Pleasant, with the Rev. Richard J. Kosisko as celebrant. Interment will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. A parish wake service will be held at 3:30 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made in his memory to Humane Society of Westmoreland County, Route 119 North, Greensburg, PA 15601.
