He was preceded in death by a son, Ronald Clark Taborski, and his parents, Gabriel and Wanda Taborski.

Surviving are his wife of 55 years, Bettelou P. Taborski of Half Moon Bay, Calif.; two daughters, Vicki L. Diaz (John) of Hollister, Calif., and Kristina L. Hammonds (Jeff) of Murrieta, Calif.; his only grandson, Michael Hammonds of Murrieta; a sister, Mary Louise Lounder (Ronald) of Burgettstown; nephews Ronald Lounder (Lori) of Coraopolis and Mark Lounder Sr. (Tracey) of Bulger; and a great-nephew, Mark Lounder Jr. of Springboro.

He and his wife moved to California from Pennsylvania in 1962 with a dream to build golf courses. His career started with him building a 3-hole course for the 37th president, Richard Nixon, in San Clemente, Calif., in 1970. In 1972, he moved to Half Moon Bay to assist in the build and manage Half Moon Bay Golf Links, where he won the Men’s Club first championship. Mr. Taborski was someone you could always go to. He was level-headed, had strong family values and was a great man who led by example. He was funny and generous and was the best dad and husband you could ask for. His loved ones have a lot of great family memories.

He loved playing golf (Katz House), playing cards with his buddies and spending time with his family. He was not only their husband, dad, brother and PopPop, but their best friend. He will be sorely missed, but never forgotten.

Services are entrusted to Miller-Jones Mortuary, Murrieta.
