Robert Wilson Neff
Robert Wilson Neff, 86, of Waynesburg, died at 6:30 a.m. Thursday, January 18, 2018, in Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, W.Va.
He was born Wednesday, December 23, 1931, in Waynesburg, a son of the late Harry and Grace Woodring Neff.
Mr. Neff enjoyed working with horses. He was a retired coal miner and trained horses and dogs for competitions.
His wife, Marjorie D. Joseph Neff, whom he married June 21, 1949, died August 1, 2002.
Surviving are three daughters, Vicky L. Neff of Washington, Doris Thorpe of Smithfield and Gloria Vincenti of McKees Rocks; two sons, Edwin H. Neff Sr. of Sycamore and Michael E. Neff of Seminole, Fla.; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson; and several nieces and nephews.
He was the last of his immediate family.
Deceased are a son, Robert S. Neff Sr.; five sisters, Fostine Piatt, Josephine Jones, Charlotte Clark, Loraine Kelley and Grace Bedilion; and two brothers, Chalmer Neff and Jefferson H. Neff.
The family will have a greeting of friends and family from 1 to 3 p.m., the time of memorial service, Thursday, January 25, in Milliken and Throckmorton Funeral Home Inc., Daryl L. Throckmorton, owner/director, 197 North Maiden Street, Waynesburg, PA 15370, with Pastor Carl Desmartin officiating. Private burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Whiteley Township, Greene County.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Humane Society of Greene County, 183 Jefferson Road, Waynesburg, PA 15370; or American Cancer Society, PA Division, S/W Region, 320 Bilmar Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15205-4620.
