John Allen Gasti
John Allen Gasti, 54, of Morgantown, W.Va., went to be with his Lord Tuesday, January 23, 2018, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born February 9, 1963, in Morgantown, a son of Shirley Forkin Gasti of Bobtown and the late Charles Gasti.
Mr. Gasti was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and was an occupational therapist for more than 20 years.
In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, playing with his dog, Shadow, and spending time with his family. He also enjoyed volunteering at Ronald McDonald Children’s House.
Surviving, in addition to his mother, are his wife, Sandy Gasti of Morgantown; his two children, Allison Kennedy and husband Patrick of Hershey and Nathan Gasti of Long Beach, Calif.; his grandson, Cooper Kennedy; brother Chuck Gasti and family of Carmichaels; sister Denise Gasti and family of Alameda, Calif.; brother James Gasti of Bobtown; sister Michele Yelenik and family of Jessup, Md.; and a loving extended family.
Deceased, in addition to his father, is a brother, Michael Gasti.
Morgantown Health & Rehabilitation and WV Caring Hospice cared for Mr. Gasti and his family with love and compassion.
Friends are invited to gather in support of the family from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, January 26, in McCulla Funeral Home, 770 Fairmont Road, Morgantown. A private service will be held in Bobtown United Methodist Church. Following the service, McCulla Funeral Home will provide cremation services.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made in Mr. Gasti’s memory to Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675-8517.
