James R. Pust
James R. Pust, 83, of Finleyville, Ginger Hill, died Wednesday, January 24, 2018, in UPMC-Shadyside hospital, Pittsburgh.
Born April 22, 1934, in Ginger Hill, he was a son of Frank and Catherine Kennedy Pust.
A welder, he worked at the former Lee Norse Co. in Charleroi, until their closing, and then for Frank Irey Construction Co., until his retirement.
A 1954 graduate of Monongahela High School, he was a member of St. Damien of Molokai Parish in Monongahela and Haymakers Club in New Eagle.
Surviving are his wife, Dorothy Baxter Pust, who he married June 29, 1984; two daughters, Regina (Shuback) Morris and husband Neal and Jaime Riili, all of Finleyville; a daughter-in-law, Patricia Pust of Monongahela (River Hill); two granddaughters, Nichole and husband Charles Evanoff and Christina Pust; and a sister, Rosalie Manges of Donora.
Preceding him in death are a son, Glenn R. Pust, who died October 15, 2014, and a brother, Frank Pust.
Friends will be received from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday in Marshall Marra Funeral Home, 216 Chess Street, Monongahela, 724-258-6767, marshallmarrafuneralhome.com, where prayers will begin at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, January 27, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Damien of Molokai Parish, Monongahela, with Father George Chortos, as celebrant. Interment will follow in Monongahela Cemetery.
