Jeffrey S. Denham
Jeffrey S. Denham, 61, of Carmichaels, died Saturday, June 30, 2018, in his home, after a long illness.
Mr. Denham was born March 8, 1957, in Danville, Ky., a son of Jerry Denham of Orlando, Fla., and Sue Antle Denham, of Danville.
Jeffrey is also survived by his wife, Victoria Jeffries Denham; six children, Fred Morecraft (Shannon), John Morecraft (Nichole), Sara Denham (David), all of Carmichaels, Gail Rudman (John) of Greensboro, Drew Denham (Dilanne) of Avella and “Dada Jeff’s” Baylie Brandenburg of Greensboro; eight beloved grandchildren, Delaney, Peyton, Isabel and Ophelia Morecraft, Lily, Willow and Dillon Rudman and Dean Denham; two sisters, Jane Petrillo and Kim Meyer and brother Christopher Denham; and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Denham’s grandmother, Jewel Antle, recently passed away at 102.
Jeffrey served his country in the U.S. Army in the 101st Airborne.
He was a retired coal miner from the former Shannopin Mine at Bobtown and a member of UMWA.
Jeffrey coached little league baseball at Greensboro, American Legion ball at Carmichaels and Greene County league baseball.
He was the voice of the Maples football team and an avid Steelers and Kentucky Wildcats fan.
Friends will be received from 2 to 5 p.m. Friday, July 6, in Paul M. Lesako Funeral Home Inc., 204 Dowlin Ave., Carmichaels, 724-966-5100. A funeral service will begin at 5 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. American Legion Post 400 and U.S. Army will accord full military rites, followed by the service with Pastor David McElroy.
