Edison Lyons Tressler
Edison Lyons Tressler, 85, of Claysville, died Tuesday, July 3, 2018, in Family Hospice and Palliative Care, Mt. Lebanon.
He was born October 16, 1932, in Mt. Braddock, a son of the late Edison G. Tressler and Katherine Lyons Tressler.
Edison graduated from Point Marion High School and served in the U.S. Army from 1955 to 1957.
He worked for Jessop Steel for 32 years.
Edison was Methodist. He loved walking, going to the mall, eating McDonald’s pancakes and playing Yahtzee into the early hours. He also loved talking to his Lord and his late wife, Eleanor. He loved to laugh and make others laugh.
On November 10, 1962, he married Eleanor Hager, who died February 18, 2012.
Surviving are a daughter, Cinda (Paul) Cengia of Bridgeville; a granddaughter, Megan (Leon III) Dwinga; and great-granddaughter Mackenzie Grace Dwinga.
Deceased, in addition to his parents and wife, are a brother, Donald Tressler, and a sister, Cecille Seiler.
Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday and 1 to 3 p.m., the time of service, Saturday, July 7, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington.
