Ann Rebich

Ann Rebich of Cokeburg, who recently celebrated her 100th birthday, passed away Saturday, July 7, 2018, in her home, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born February 14, 1918, in Naomi, a daughter of the late Nick and Anna Zinko.

A lifelong homemaker, Mrs. Rebich was always an excellent cook, baker and seamstress.

She worked briefly at Century Inn, Scenery Hill.

Ann attended Cokeburg Presbyterian Church.

In 1939, she married Miller J. “Jake” Rebich, who died February 5, 1993.

She and her husband were avid bowlers and did almost everything together.

They were also charter members of Croatian Fraternal Union, which began in the house where Mrs. Rebich lived for more than 70 years. She and her husband, who played Tamburitzan music, did much to advance the Croatian culture and heritage in the local area.

Mrs. Rebich is survived by her two daughters, Madeline Bambarger of Cokeburg and Paulette Tansill (Mel) of Catonsville, Md.; son Michael Rebich (Carolyn) of Bentleyville; grandson Brian Shellogg; granddaughters Kim Aleksevich, Kelly Halinka and Krissy Callery; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Deceased, in addition to her husband, are daughter Sylvia Rebich; brother Peter Cinko; four sisters, Nellie Mesiano, Mary Burke, Kay Cecil and Tillie Puskarich; and son-in-law Harry Bambarger.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in Greenlee Funeral Home, 619 Main Street, Bentleyville, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 13, with Pastor Keith Meier officiating. Interment will follow in Beallsville Cemetery.
