William Clifford Laughner Jr.
William Clifford “Bill” Laughner Jr., 68, of Newark, Ohio, died unexpectedly Thursday, July 5, 2018, in Country Lane Gardens Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Thornville, Ohio.
He was born November 10, 1949, in Washington, a son of the late William Clifford Laughner Sr. and Euphemia Murray-Jenkins.
Bill was a 1967 graduate of Bethlehem-Center High School.
In 2005, he retired from Greif Bros Inc. in Delaware, Ohio, after 37 years of service. He was passionate about helping and aiding others and served as a paramedic for much of his life.
He was a devout Christian and an upstanding member of his community. In his later years, he loved watching baseball, reading Scripture and following friends and family on social media.
Bill is survived by his wife, Sharon Laughner of Newark; his children, Shannon Laughner of McMurray, Shawndel Laughner of Richeyville, Shalynn Sapotichne of Okemos, Mich., and William C. Laughner III of Brooklyn, N.Y.; and four grandchildren, Jordan Centofanti, Harlow Guy, Xavier Sapotichne and Savella Sapotichne.
