Edward A. Adamson

Edward A. Adamson of Virginia Beach, Va., passed away suddenly in his home Saturday, July 7, 2018.

He was born May 15, 1946, in Waynesburg, a son of the late Mary Belle Day Adamson and Charles Edmund Adamson.

He was a 1964 graduate of Waynesburg High School.

Ed was a veteran and served in the U.S. Navy for 20 years and retired as chief petty officer.

Ed was a former owner of Carrousel Tack Shop in Pungo, Va., for 30 years.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Deanna Sue Pearce Adamson; daughter Melissa (Dale) Shotwell of Hereford, N.C.; four granddaughters, Aubrey Olkowski, Courtney Olkowski, Lydia Shotwell and Caitlin Shotwell; grandson Warren Shotwell; four great-grandchildren, Skylar Weisse, Mary Elizabeth and Josie Youmnas and Conner Shotwell; and sister Martha (Ed) Henderson of Rochester Hills, Mich. Also surviving is a sister-in-law, Kathy Adamson of Masontown.

Ed’s brother, Jerry Adamson, passed away 27 days prior to his death.

Ed loved his farm and horses. He had many friends and never met a stranger.

At the request of the deceased, there will be no service.
