Edward W. Muscavitch
Edward W. Muscavitch, 95, of California, died Monday, July 16, 2018.
He was born September 23, 1922, in Centerville, a son of the late Michael and Nellie Youravitch Muscavitch.
Mr. Muscavitch served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He was a retired coal miner from Gateway Coal Co. and was a member of United Mine Workers of America.
Mr. Muscavitch was predeceased by his wives, Mavis Smith, Mary Podruski, Ruth Thistlewaite and Frances Carney.
Surviving are a daughter, Mavis (Rudy) Haladyna of Clarksville; a stepdaughter, Donna Longhi of Canonsburg; three stepsons, Michael Horvath of Port St. Lucie, Fla., James Horvath of Meadow Lands and Bob Horvath of California; a daughter-in-law, Mary Ellen Muscavitch of Clarksville; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a sister, Elsie Mayhut of Lawrenceburg, Tenn.
Deceased, in addition to his wives, are a son, Edward K. Muscavitch; a daughter, Lorraine Hanyok; two brothers, Lee Muscavitch and Pete Muscavitch; five sisters, Frances Giles, Emma Orban, Nellie Mayhut, Helen Mucko and Leona Muscavitch.
Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 19, in Behm Funeral Home, 1477 Jefferson Road, Jefferson, PA 15344, Gregory P. Rohanna, supervisor.
