Richard P. Cain

Richard P. Cain, 85, of Washington, died Tuesday, July 17, 2018, in Southmont of Presbyterian SeniorCare, Washington.

He was born October 20, 1932, in Washington, a son of the late Paul and Lois Weaver Cain.

He was a graduate of Washington High School.

Mr. Cain was a captain for Washington Fire Department. He retired in 1983, following 27 years of service.

Richard also had worked for The Meadows Racetrack and then as a bartender at Pulaski Club for 16 years.

He loved sports and played semi-professional basketball in a Greek basketball league under the alias Lou Demeres.

On April 25, 1959, he married Mary E. Sensky, who died July 18, 2010.

Surviving are two sons, Richard B. “Rick” (Jodi) Cain of Washington and Jasin E. (Karen) Cain of Bethel Park; two brothers, Michael L. (Connie) Cain of Washington and Arley “Brent” (Judy) Cain of Washington; granddaughter Katelyn Razvoza; two great-grandchildren, Mary and Max; niece Michelle Nutter; and six nephews, Robert Sensky, Eric Sensky, Kory Sensky, Chris Cain, Matt Cain and Steve Cain.

Deceased are a daughter, Cathy Razvoza, and a nephew, Brad Sensky.

Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 21, with the Rev. Ross Pryor officiating.

Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery.
