Marilyn Morton
Marilyn Morton, 80, of Strabane, died Thursday, July 19, 2018, in the company of her family.
She was born April 12, 1938, in Pittsburgh, to the late Lloyd and Flavia Greene.
On September 3, 1958, in Cumberland, Md., she married Leonard Morton, who survives. They settled in Strabane, where she was a homemaker. They were married for 60 years.
Marilyn was a longtime member of Canonsburg United Presbyterian Church. She especially loved the music ministry of the church. She often told the story of how she had a life-changing experience at a Billy Graham Crusade.
She enjoyed spending time with her family and decorating her home.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are two sons, Len (Kim) Morton of Houston and David (Kathy) Morton of Washington; five grandchildren, Jenny (JT) Hendrickson, Greg (Kristin) Morton, Zachary (Meaghan) Morton, Chelsea (Clayton) Johnson and Alyssa Morton; three great-grandchildren, Dominick and Harley Roberts and Connor Johnson; three brothers, Lloyd (Judy) Greene of Denver, Colo., Bob (Sue) Greene of Stuart, Fla., and Don Greene of Livermore, Calif.; sister-in-law Janet Morton; and several nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, July 27, in Canonsburg United Presbyterian Church, 112 West Pike Street, Canonsburg, immediately followed by a memorial service at 11 a.m. The Rev. Don Coleman will officiate. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Canonsburg United Presbyterian Church.
