Charles Curtin Williams Jr.
Charles Curtin Williams Jr., 83, of Washington, died Friday June 1, 2018, in his home.
He was born January 23, 1935, in Scenery Hill, a son of the late Charles Curtin and Wilkie Townsend Williams. He attended Marianna schools. He worked at Fairmont Supply Co. in Washington as a truck driver for many years, before retiring as a supervisor in 1996. He enjoyed being a Cub Scout leader and loved farming.
On June 26, 1954, he married Leah E. Addleman, with whom he shared almost 64 years of marriage.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are son Rondall C. Williams of Washington; daughter Diana K. Williams of Amity; two sisters, Erma Stowinsky and Linda (Larry) Bowman; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Deceased, in addition to his parents, are three brothers, Denver Williams, John “Rex” Williams and Franklin Delano Williams, and three sisters, Madelyn Craig, Bernadine Saffle and Sheila Pallett.
Family and friends will be received from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in Nichol Funeral Home, 1873 East Maiden Street, Washington, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 6. Interment will follow in Horn Cemetery, Marianna.
