A. Waneita Baysinger

A. Waneita “Sis” Baysinger, 89, of Waynesburg, passed away Friday, June 1, 2018, in Donnell House, Washington.

She was born April 2, 1929, in Waynesburg, a daughter of the late Lillian Clark Steinmiller Anderson. She was a stepdaughter of the late Jesse L. Anderson.

She was a lifelong resident of Waynesburg, where she made her home for 30 years with the late Clarence “Clem” Powell.

Waneita worked for Greenway Manufacturing in Waynesburg for over 30 years, until the plant closed in 1986. She had also worked as a waitress for Union Grill and the Eagles Club in Waynesburg, where she was a former member.

She enjoyed feeding wild birds, baking and fishing on Lake Erie.

Surviving are a sister, Bernice Shuman of Waynesburg, and four generations of nieces and nephews.

Deceased are two brothers, Gerald Anderson and Conrad Anderson, and two sisters, Helen Straight and Sandra Black.

Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in Behm Funeral Homes Inc., 182 West High Street, Waynesburg, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 6, with Pastor Scott Blair officiating followed by burial in Oakmont Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Donnell House, in care of Washington Health System Hospice Care, 155 Wilson Avenue, Washington, PA 15301.
