Nancy A. Sturgeon

Nancy A. Sturgeon, 81, of McDonald, died Saturday, June 2, 2018, in Townview Health and Rehabilitation Center, Canonsburg.

She was born August 16, 1936, in Pittsburgh, a daughter of the late E. James and Martha E. Rockhill Smith.

Mrs. Sturgeon was a registered nurse supervisor at Woodville State Hospital and was a member of Center Presbyterian Church, Peters Township. She enjoyed baking.

Surviving are her husband of 55 years, Wallace L. Sturgeon of McDonald; children, Sherry Deveaney (Kurt Ashenfelter) of Weirton, W.Va., Jim Sturgeon of Florida and Jeffrey (Brenda) Sturgeon of McDonald; grandchildren, Tim Brandon and Jeffrey Deveaney, Rachael and Layton Sturgeon; and brothers, David (Sandy) Smith and William (Jeanine) Smith. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews and lifelong friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Amedisys Hospice.

Arrangements are private and entrusted to Thomas-Little Funeral Service Inc., 314 West Lincoln Avenue, McDonald, 724-926-2800. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
