Ardeth Gaye Rupnik
Ardeth Gaye Rupnik, 82, of McDonald, North Fayette Township, died Thursday, June 7, 2018, in Family Hospice and Palliative Care, Mt. Lebanon.
She was born August 31, 1935, a daughter of the late Harry Kendall and Gertrude Sawhill Motte.
Mrs. Rupnik was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church and previously worked for Peoples Gas Co. She enjoyed cooking, collecting tea kettles and being with her grandchildren and family.
Surviving are her children, Carrie (John) Sutton of Wexford, Barbara (Robert) Maliszewski and Brian (Patti) Rupnik, all of Sturgeon; grandchildren Bobby (Amanda) Maliszewski, Jennifer (Shawn) McFee, Ryan (Marilyn) Sutton, Rachel Sutton and Brenna, Clayton and Kellen Rupnik; and sister Linda Bushmire of Sturgeon.
Deceased are her beloved husband, Karl A. Rupnik, who died February 26, 2018, and a brother, Herky Kendall.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday in Thomas-Little Funeral Service Inc., 314 West Lincoln Avenue, McDonald, 724-926-2800. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 12, in St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Oakdale. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Moon Township.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Family Hospice and Palliative Care. A memorial plaque will be erected in honor of Gaye at Family Hospice. Donations given to the family will be used for that purpose.
