John Raymond Miller

John Raymond Miller, 77, died suddenly Wednesday, June 6, 2018, and was again reunited with the love of his life, “Judy.”
He was born April 18, 1941, a son of George Raymond Miller and Eleanor Day Miller.
He was a graduate of Trinity High School.
On June 1, 1962, Mr. Miller became a ranking member of the U.S. Air Force.
Mr. Miller was a retired lab technician at Ferro Corp., formerly known as Cerdec.
He was a member of Windy Gap Evangelical Presbyterian Church and belonged to Friendship Club of Burnsville.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, woodworking and, most importantly, being with family.
On May 20, 1961, in Winchester, Va., he married his high school sweetheart, Judith Ann Johnson of Claysville. They celebrated 54 years of marriage together. Born of this union were Johnna Rae McNett (Dennis) of Carmichaels and John Bradley Miller (Rene) of Claysville.
Also surviving are two beloved grandchildren, Zebulun McNett of Pittsburgh and Natalie Rae McNett of Carmichaels; brother George William Miller (Ruby) of Claysville; nieces and nephews Sandy Gelety (Tim), Diane Painter (Clifford), Katrina Gelety, Caitlin Gelety, Dusty Danley, Meagan Porter, Jody, Toby and Bill Johnson and Donnie and Colleen Cooper; four stepgranddaughters; and 11 stepgreat-grandchildren.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday in Young Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., 219 Main Street, Claysville, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, June 11. Interment will follow in Prosperity Cemetery, followed by a repast in Upper Ten Mile Presbyterian Church.
