William J. O’Hare

William J. “Bo” O’Hare, 66, of Canonsburg, passed away peacefully at 7:17 p.m. Thursday, June 7, 2018, in his home, following an extended illness.

He was born May 6, 1952, in Canonsburg, a son of William O’Hare of Muse and the late Leona Louise Deliere O’Hare.

Bo lived his entire life in Muse, where he was a member of Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church.

He was a graduate of Canon-McMillan High School.

Bo was employed for many years at Jeffrey’s Drug Store, prior to his illness.

He enjoyed woodcrafting and working on cars and was instrumental in starting the youth baseball league in Cecil Township.

On May 17, 1972, he married Karen McDonald, who survives.

Also left behind to cherish his memory are his son, Eric W. O’Hare, at home; four sisters, Beverly Baselj and husband Vincent of Bridgeville, Colleen Progar of Bridgeville, Anna Marie O’Hare of Muse and Jacklyn Mitchell and husband Thomas of Cecil; granddaughter Kaylan O’Hare; two grandsons, Hudson and Connor Calhoun; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Deceased, in addition to his mother, is his son, Jeffrey “Bucky” O’Hare, who passed away November 29, 1993.

Friends and family are welcome from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday in Salandra Funeral and Cremation Services Inc., Joseph P. Salandra, LFD, owner/supervisor, Darla Tripoli, LFD, 304 West Pike Street, Canonsburg, 724-745-8120, where a blessing service will be held at 9:10 a.m. Tuesday, June 12. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 a.m. in Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, Muse, with the Rev. George T. DeVille as celebrant. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Cecil.
