Donald C. Bartolomucci

Donald C. “Don” Bartolomucci, 81, of Scenery Hill, Deemston Borough, passed away Thursday, June 7, 2018, in Jefferson Regional Medical Center, Jefferson Hills, with his family by his side.
He was born June 1, 1937, in Newell, a son of the late Nicole and Teresa Enos Bartolomucci.
Mr. Bartolomucci was a 1956 graduate of Brownsville High School and a 1960 graduate of Waynesburg College, where he played in the All Star Gem Bowl in 1959 and was honorable mention Little All American in 1958 and 1959.
Don was a world cultures teacher in Bethlehem-Center School District, retiring in 1989, with 24 years of service. He then served on Beth-Center School Board.
He spent many years coaching high school football for Brownsville and Beth-Center. He received coach of the year honors in the Century Conference 1986 and 1994, Eastern Association of Interscholastic Football Officials 1991 and Washington County 1987 and 1992. His other coaching achievements included coaching in the Big 33 game of Ohio vs. PA 1998, coaching the National All Star Game 1998, induction into the PA Coaches Hall of Fame 1998, induction into the Tri-County Hall of Fame 2002 and Mid Mon Valley All Sports Hall of Fame 2017.
Aside from his love of football, a major portion of his life involved family-oriented activities and his undying love for his wife, children and grandchildren.
He was a longtime member of St. Agnes Parish, Richeyville. He was a member of Bentleyville Knights of Columbus Council 5826, a member of PSEARS and Sons of Italy Brownsville.
On August 29, 1959, he married Marjorie Kuklo Bartolomucci, who survives. Together, they celebrated 58 years of marriage.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are three children, Donald A. Bartolomucci (Katie) of Windermere, Fla., Terri Bartolomucci-Moore of Beallsville and Marc J. Bartolomucci (Gretchen) of Sewickley; 11 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased, in addition to his parents, are a son-in-law, Gregory Moore; two sisters, Pauline Powell and Eleanor Pidanich; and a brother, Frank Bartolomucci.
Friends will be received from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday and Monday in John B. Greenlee Funeral Home Ltd., 2830 Main Street, Beallsville, where a blessing service will be held at 9 a.m. Tuesday, June 12, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Katharine Drexel Parish, Richeyville campus, 2 Church Street, Richeyville, PA 15358, with the Rev. Edward Yuhas officiating. Entombment will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, 333 East Carson Street, 441E, Pittsburgh, PA 15219.
