Dorothy E. Elnikar

Dorothy E. Elnikar, 98, of Streetsboro, Ohio, formerly of Greensboro, passed away Monday, June 11, 2018, in her residence.
She was born August 7, 1919, in Connellsville, a daughter of the late Walter and Alice Geary Butt.
A Greensboro resident for 56 years, she moved to Mantua, Ohio, in 1995, and then to Streetsboro in 2016.
Mrs. Elnikar had been employed as a cook for 16 years at Mapletown High School. She held memberships in Mapletown United Methodist Church and was an associate member of United Mine Workers of America.
She will fondly be remembered for the baking and cooking she did for family and friends and the bread rolls she made for the schools.
On February 6, 1937, she married her beloved husband, Stanley A. “Pup” Elnikar, who died June 5, 2003.
Mrs. Elnikar is survived by her devoted children, Stanley Elnikar (Carol) of Streetsboro and Janet McClure (Earl Pamfilie) of Mantua; four loving grandchildren, Kimberly Wilcox (Tom), Stanley T. Elnikar, Lynn Rae Derthick (Bob Bystricky) and Chris McClure (Sue); five great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; and her dear brothers, William Butt of Mantua and Preston Butt of Mt. Morris.
She was preceded in death by her dear siblings, Walter Butt Jr., Betty Higdon, Margaret Sharpton and Alice Skach.
Family and friends are welcome from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in Yoskovich Funeral Home, 724-966-5500, Martin J. Yoskovich, funeral director, 300 South Vine Street, Route 88, Carmichaels, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 16, with the Rev. William Parker officiating. Interment will follow in Greene County Memorial Park, Waynesburg.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
