On Saturday, June 9, 2018, God sent his warrior Gabriel to receive his warrior Bishop Gloria E. Garrison, 81, of Washington.

She was a daughter of the late Archie Garrison and Willia Bonaparte Garrison.

Bishop Garrison was a product of Washington School District, and after school, she was employed as an executive secretary for McAnallen Construction Co. of Pittsburgh.

While spiritually walking with her Lord, serving the Church in every capacity and to be exalted to pastor, bishop and general overseer, Bishop Garrison wanted you to know this one thing, that like Apostle Paul, she too fought a good fight, kept the faith and, with the time of her departure at hand, stated “I’m ready to go home to Jesus.”

She is survived by a brother, Paul (Jerilyn) Garrison of Toledo, Ohio, and a sister, Ruth McGruder of California state.

In addition to her parents, deceased are sisters Dorothy Ferguson, Geneva Wallace, Thelma Scott, Margaret Young, Willia Lee Dudley and Alice M. Russell.

Bishop Gloria E. Garrison will lie in state with no public viewing from 10 to 11 a.m., the time of service, Saturday, June 16, in Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, 230 Reed Avenue, Monessen, with Pastor Bishop Karl Jackson as officiant.

Final celebration has been gently placed in the hands of House of Jackson Memorial Chapel, 546 Thompson Avenue, Donora, Karl Jackson, funeral director, 724-379-5420.
