William W. “Toby” McMillan, 70, of Waynesburg, died Friday, June 15, 2018, in his home, with his wife by his side, following a lengthy illness.

He was born November 13, 1947, in Cecil, a son of Helen McMillan of Canonsburg and the grandson of the late Joseph and Margaret McMillan.

Mr. McMillan attended Canon-McMillan schools. He served in the U.S. Army from 1967 until 1969, where he proudly served his country as a combat engineer in Vietnam.

For most of his life, he worked on the railroad.

Mr. McMillan was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4793 in Waynesburg and American Legion Post 330 in Waynesburg and was a life member of Arden Club in Washington.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing and riding motorcycles. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family.

On May 13, 1967, he married Charlotte D. “Punky” Greene, who survives. The couple had been married for 51 years.

Also surviving are two daughters, Carla Johnson of Monticello and Georgia and Toby (James) Whipkey of Waynesburg; a brother, Butch Johnson of Burgettstown; a sister, Marjorie Benard of Canonsburg; six grandchildren, Lacey, Kacee, Macy (Curtis), MacKenzie, London and Pieper; and four great-grandchildren, Bentlee, Kole, Kennedy and Quintin.

In addition to his grandparents, deceased are a son, Mitchell D. McMillan; four brothers, Bob, Pete, Porky and Jim; and a sister, Martha.

Friends will be received from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in Warco-Falvo Funeral Home Inc., Wilson at East Katherine avenues, Washington, S. Timothy Warco, supervisor/director, Susan Falvo Warco, director, S. Timothy Warco II, director, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 20, with the Rev. Rick Kauffman officiating. Interment will follow in Rosemont Cemetery, Rogersville. Full military rites will be accorded by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4793 honor guard and the U.S. Army.
