Robert John Casper
Robert John “Peep” Casper, 66, of Washington, died unexpectedly Saturday, June 23, 2018, in Washington Hospital of natural causes.
He was born August 19, 1951, in Canonsburg, a son of the late Chester and Margaret Bentrum Casper.
Mr. Casper was a 1969 graduate of Fort Cherry High School.
He was a veteran, serving with the U.S. Army.
Mr. Casper was a coal miner for Consol’s Bailey Mine.
He was a member of Vietnam Vets Motorcycle Club, W Chapter, American Legion Post 902 of Houston, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 191 of Canonsburg and Palanka Sportsman’s Club of Houston.
On July 25, 1981, he married Virginia “Ginny” Rice, who survives.
He will be missed by a sister, Donna Cole of East Liverpool, Ohio, and many in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He also leaves behind his dog, Wags.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m., the time of service, Monday, June 25, in McIlvaine-Speakman Funeral Home Ltd., Robert K. McIlvaine, owner/supervisor, 27 Cherry Avenue, Houston, PA 15342. Full military rites will be accorded by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 191, Canonsburg. Interment will be held privately in National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Cecil Township.
