Marie Patrick

Marie Patrick, 89, of McDonald, died Sunday, June 24, 2018, in her daughter’s home in Hickory.
She was born November 24, 1928, in Sharon, a daughter of the late Anthony and Anna Kotyienkwitz Melnik.
Mrs. Patrick was a 1947 graduate of Westmont-Upper Yoder High School and a 1967 graduate of Pittsburgh Beauty Academy.
She was the proprietor of Marie’s Beauty Salon in McDonald from 1972 until 1986.
Mrs. Patrick was a member of St. Alphonsus Roman Catholic Church, McDonald, and a member of the former McDonald Women’s Club and the former McDonald Garden Club.
She enjoyed gardening, traveling, cooking and baking. But her family, especially her great-grandchildren, was her pride and joy.
On January 14, 1950, she married Joseph J. Patrick, who died September 5, 2010.
Surviving are a son, Howard Joseph (Sharon) Patrick of Forest Hills; three daughters, Deborah Ann (Edward) Eiler of Moon Township, Darlene Marie (William) Bedillion of Hickory and Donna Jean (Garry) Mousourakis of Atlasburg; a brother, Edward Danyluk of Johnstown; two sisters-in-law, Eleanor Patrick of North Miami, Fla., and Sister Jacinta Patrick of North Hills; 11 grandchildren, Shannon (Christian) Tronzo, Sarah (Sean) Toulouse, Kelly (Matthew) Sachse, Erin (Brandon) Baronner, Edward (Brianne) Eiler, Steven (Terri) Eiler, Kaitlin (Maxwell) Burke, Patrick Bedillion, Allysa Mousourakis, Courtney Bedillion and Alex Mousourakis; 14 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Deceased are a stepmother, Maria Danyluk Melnik; four brothers, William Melnik and Stanley, Harry and John Danyluk; and two sisters, Rose Alpaugh and Pearl Markovich.
Friends will be received from 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday in Nation Funeral Home Inc., 220 East Lincoln Avenue, McDonald. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, June 29, in St. Alphonsus Roman Catholic Church, McDonald. Burial will be private in National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Cecil Township, at a later date.
