Donald Leonard Bowser

Donald Leonard Bowser, 83, of Nemacolin, died Wednesday, June 27, 2018, in his home.

Donald was born October 12, 1934, in Greensboro, a son of the late George T. Bowser and Alberta (Ewart) Bowser of Nemacolin.

On July 10, 1954, Donald married the true love of his life, Patricia Ann (Smith) Bowser, who died in 2012.

Donald is survived by nine children, Dawn (Suzy) Woolery of Nemacolin, Donald “JR” Bowser of Nemacolin, Jeanie Lafferty (Mike) of McClellandtown, Kathy Celli of Nemacolin, William “Bill” Bowser of Nemacolin, Cindy Farrar of Morrow, Ohio, Charles “Chuck” Bowser (Linda) of Fredericktown, Patrick Bowser of Rices Landing and Norma Bowser of Carmichaels; 39 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; brothers Herman Bowser (Carol), Chuck Bowser (Mickey) and John Bowser; sisters Helen Fox, Bern Embacher (August), Shirley Wilson (Jim), Joyce Baker-Cutwright (Richard); special aunt Betty Jean Morgan; and sister-in-law, Sally Bowser. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and friends.

In addition to his wife and parents, Donald was predeceased by a son, Daniel “Binky” Bowser; five grandchildren, Sara and Jason Lafferty, Joshua Celli, Wayne Bowser and a grandchild in infancy; great-grandson Zachary Bowser; sister Esther Clark; and brothers Daniel Bowser, George Bowser, Robert Bowser and David Bowser.

Friends will be received in Paul M. Lesako Funeral Home Inc., 204 Dowlin Avenue, Carmichaels, PA 15320, 724-966-5100, from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday and from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday. Burial will follow in Laurel Point cemetery in Carmichaels.
