Harry Dale King

Harry Dale King, 69, of Rivesville, W.Va., formerly of Fredericktown, passed away Wednesday, June 27, 2018, in his home.

He was born March 28, 1949, in Washington, a son of the late Gilbert E. and Ruth Elizabeth Smith King.

Mr. King attended Bethlehem-Center High School and was a graduate of California University of Pennsylvania, receiving a degree in industrial arts.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War, serving from 1966 to 1969.

Harry was employed as a construction contractor for over 25 years, working in the Fairmont, W.Va., area.

He enjoyed riding his Harley, hunting and fishing.

Surviving are four sisters, Ruth Ann Wolfe of Clarksville, Elma Adams (Gary) of Middleburg Heights, Ohio, Kathryn Stewart of Fairmont and Barbara White of Fredericktown; three brothers, Charles King (Vera) of Parma, Ohio, Harvey Jay Jr. (Cindy) and Richard Jay (Melissa), both of Fredericktown; and several nieces and nephews.

Deceased, in addition to his parents, are a sister, Edna Gallo; and a brother, Roger King.

Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday in Greenlee Funeral Home, 42 Bank Street at Crawford Road, Fredericktown, where services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Monday, July 2, with Pastor John Thomas officiating. Interment will follow in National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Cecil Township, with military rites accorded by Hanson-Cole American Legion Post 391, Fredericktown.
