James R. Milliken

James R. Milliken, 94, of West Alexander, died Wednesday, February 28, 2018, in his home.

He was born November 25, 1923, in Majorsville, a son of the late William G. and Pearl Milliken.

Mr. Milliken was a World War II veteran, serving in France and Germany.

On September 26, 1951, in West Alexander, he married Mary Louise Amos, who died January 15, 1997.

Surviving are two daughters, Beverly Philabaum (George) of West Alexander and Kathy Milliken of West Alexander; two grandsons, Andrew James Philabaum (Stephanie Bradley) of Follansbee, W.Va., and Robert Wayne Philabaum (Kerri Nickerson) of West Alexander; and two sisters, Jean Long of Claysville and Helen Main of Perrysville, Ohio.

Deceased, in addition to his parents and wife, are three brothers, Bill, Richard and Tom Milliken, and a sister, Dorothy Jacks.

Friends will be received from 10 a.m. until noon, the time of service, Saturday, March 3, in Young Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 219 Main Street, Claysville, PA 15323, www.youngfhinc.com. Interment will follow in West Alexander Cemetery.
