Richard Frank Bernett, 57, of Eighty Four, passed away peacefully Saturday, March 3, 2018, in his home, after being in declining health for several years.

He was born May 30, 1960, in Latrobe, a son of Ruth Dunn Bernett and the late George A. Bernett Sr.

Mr. Bernett attended Washington High School and was a self-employed ceramic tile installer.

He enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren and doing outdoor activities. He was known for always helping others and having an amazing sense of humor. He lived his life to the fullest and was always very happy and positive.

Surviving are a daughter, Katrena (Jeffrey) Stein of Scenery Hill; two sons, Richard A. Bernett of Scenery Hill and Cody Bernett of Ellsworth; two brothers, George Bernett of Washington and John Scott Bernett of Washington; three sisters, Ruth Ann Jones of Olive Branch, Miss., Sharon Huston of Baltimore, Md., and Janice Jones of Washington; and three grandchildren, Hayleigh, Brayden and Gavin. Another grandchild is expected in the summer.

At the request of the deceased, there will be no public visitation.
