Dorothy L. Hoak
Dorothy L. Hoak, 88, of Clover Hill, passed away peacefully Sunday, March 4, 2018, in her home, surrounded by family.
She was born June 20, 1929, a daughter of the late Thomas and Della Logan.
Mrs. Hoak was a graduate of California State Teachers College. Following college, she was an elementary school teacher in Charleroi during the 1950s.
She was a member of St. Mary Anglican Church, Charleroi.
Surviving are four children, twin sons John W. Hoak III and wife Geri and William John Hoak and wife Donna, and two daughters, Jane Crawford and JoAnn Lentz and husband Paul; seven grandchildren, Maj. Steven Hoak and wife Natalya, Malori Hoak, Grace, Sonny and Madelyn Crawford and Nicholas and Nathan Lentz; and four great-grandchildren, Aurora, Elianna, John and Luxon.
Along with her parents, deceased is her husband of 67 years, John W. “Jack” Hoak Jr.
Friends will be received from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in Schrock-Hogan Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 226 Fallowfield Avenue, Charleroi, where services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, March 8, with Father Robert Hanna officiating. Interment will follow in Monongahela Cemetery.
