Margaret Drilak
Margaret Drilak, 86, of Houston, passed away peacefully Tuesday, March 6, 2018, in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh, with her devoted children by her side.
She was born June 4, 1931, in Muse, a daughter of the late Premo P. and Barbara Wilkins Selva.
Mrs. Drilak was a graduate of Cecil High School and Washington Hospital School of Nursing.
Over the years, she was employed at Mayview State Hospital, Western Center, John J. Kane Hospital and Washington County Health Center.
Mrs. Drilak lived in Houston for more than 50 years and was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Canonsburg.
She enjoyed crossword puzzles, including the New York Times, cooking and feeding everyone. Time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren was most precious to her.
On December 28, 1953, in St. Michael Byzantine Catholic Church, Canonsburg, she married Andrew Drilak, who passed away July 7, 2012.
Left behind to cherish her memory are her four sons, Andrew (Roberta) Drilak of Meadow Lands, Daniel (Cathy) Drilak of Washington, John (Jodi) Drilak of Claysville and Patrick (Pamela) Drilak of East Millsboro; two daughters, Kathleen (William) Macik of Avella and Jaqueline (Jeffrey) Robinson of Manassas, Va.; a brother, Joseph Selva of Canonsburg; 16 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased, in addition to her husband and parents, are a brother, Raymond Selva, and a sister, Patricia M. Abruzzi, who passed away December 15, 2002.
Family and friends are welcome from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in Salandra Funeral and Cremation Services Inc., Joseph P. Salandra, LFD, owner/supervisor, 304 West Pike Street, Canonsburg, 724-745-8120, where departing prayers will be recited at 9:30 a.m. Friday, March 9. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 a.m. Friday in St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, 317 West Pike Street, Canonsburg. Interment will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery, Canonsburg.
