Shirley Leeper, 67, of Washington, passed away Monday, March 12, 2018, in Washington Hospital.

She was born June 18, 1950, in Washington, a daughter of the late Harry Edward Thomas Sr. and Ruth Parsons Thomas.

Ms. Leeper worked at North Avenue Apartments for over 10 years in maintenance and housekeeping.

She loved spending time with her family, reading, going to the casino, watching Lifetime movies and the Hallmark Channel.

Ms. Leeper is survived by sons, Joseph (Cheyenne) Leeper and Christopher Brian (Lauren) Leeper, both of Washington; daughters Lori (Don) Jones of Washington and Amanda (Joe) Szewczyk of Castle Shannon; brothers Edward “Sonny” Thomas of Washington, Glenn (Donna) Thomas of Lindenwold, N.J., Floyd (Barb) Thomas of Washington and Dave Thomas of Washington; sister Alice (Al) Ferry of Bakersfield, Calif.; grandchildren Taylor, McCoy, Austin, Dakota, Anthony, Michael, Ryan and Henry; sister-in-law Shirley Thomas; and many nieces and nephews.

Deceased are a brother, Harry Thomas Jr., and sister Wilda Scott.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, PA, 15301, where services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday, March 1. Burial to follow in Amity Presbyterian Cemetery.
