Linda E. Porter

Linda E. Porter, 64, of Holbrook, passed away peacefully Wednesday, March 14, 2018, in her home.

She was born September 22, 1953, in Washington, a daughter of the late Jack and Faith Stockdale Gillogly.

Mrs. Porter was a 1971 graduate of West Greene High School.

She was a member of Bristoria Baptist Church in Holbrook, where she led the ladies’ prayer group and was involved in the children’s bus ministry.

Mrs. Porter was a loving wife and an amazing mother and grandmother. Her family and farm were her life. She also devoted herself to taking care of others. She had a bubbly, fun sense of humor and always had a smile on her face.

Surviving are two children, Mike (Jenny) Porter of Waynesburg and C.J. Porter of Holbrook; a son-in-law, Charlie Garber; five grandchildren, Nicole Garber, Tyler Porter, Tucker Porter, Cadyn Porter and Kaylee Garber; and a great-grandchild, Owen Smith.

Deceased, in addition to her parents, are her husband, Edward Porter, who passed away in 2014; a daughter, Becky Garber; a daughter-in-law, Jennifer Porter; and two siblings, Bob and Kim Gillogly.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in Kesterson-Rush Funeral Home LLC, 3275 West Roy Furman Highway, Rogersville, PA 15359, 724-499-5181, where services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 17, with Pastor Gary Crawford officiating. Burial will follow in Bethany Cemetery, Jackson Township.
