Sara M. “Sally” Leo, 81, of Houston, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, March 22, 2018, in her home.

She was born December 24, 1936, in Saratoga, N.Y., a daughter of the late Kenneth B. and Sarah Mahood Romary.

Mrs. Leo lived in Houston for the past 13 years and attended First United Presbyterian Church.

She was in the first graduating class of Mt. Lebanon High School and was an avid Penguins fan and member of the team’s boosters organization.

Prior to her retirement, she was a secretary with Bayer Corp. in Pittsburgh for many years.

Mrs. Leo had been a volunteer at Prime Time in Bethel Park, where she was involved with assisting Alzheimer’s patients.

Her husband, Anthony J. Leo, passed away July 4, 2009.

Mrs. Leo leaves behind to cherish her memory her son, Kevin (Kelli) Ross of Gainesville, Fla.; her daughter, Kathleen (Bill) Vogel of Houston; two stepdaughters, Joyce Kelly (Kevin) of Bethel Park and Judy Roberts of San Francisco, Calif.; a brother, Robert (Margaret) Romary of Mt. Lebanon; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Deceased, in addition to her parents and husband, are a stepson, Donald Leo; two brothers, Kenneth and William Romary; and a sister, Betsy Romary.

Friends and family are welcome from noon until 2 p.m., the time of service, Saturday, March 24, in Salandra Funeral and Cremation Services Inc., Joseph P. Salandra, LFD, owner/supervisor, and Darla Tripoli, LFD, 304 West Pike Street, Canonsburg, 724-745-8120. Interment in Forest Lawn Gardens, McMurray, will be private.
