Cosimo Nick Bucci, 74, of Avella, formerly of Pittsburgh, passed away at 6:39 a.m. Friday, March 23, 2018, in Weirton (W.Va.) Medical Center.

He was born January 29, 1944, in Italy, a son of the late Cassidoro and Filomena Sciulli Bucci.

Mr. Bucci came to the United States in 1958. He settled in Pittsburgh and was a member of Construction General Laborers Local 373, Pittsburgh, for more than 50 years.

He moved to Avella with his family in 1980 and was a member of Polar Star Mutual Benefit Society.

Mr. Bucci loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

On February 19, 1966, in Pittsburgh, he married Linda Jean Schmalstieg, who survives.

Also surviving are a daughter, Adrianna (Michael) Danna of Avella; a son, Nick (Laura) Bucci of Sussex, Va.; six grandchildren, Jessica, Hollyann, Jacob, Haley, Christopher and Joey; a great-grandchild, Adelaide; three sisters, Angelina (Floyd) Williams of Pittsburgh, Albina (Giuseppi) Cavaliere of Pittsburgh and Henrietta (Martin) Butchko of Johnstown; and a brother, Dominic (Betty) Bucci of Florida.

At the request of the deceased, there will be no public visitation.
