Dylan Cole Newman, 30, of Arthurdale, W.Va., passed away Saturday, March 17, 2018, in his home.

He was born April 6, 1987, in Morgantown, W.Va., a son of Stephanie Jane Davis of Arthurdale and Randall Boyce Newman and wife Deb of Washington.

Surviving, in addition to his parents, are his son, Noah Scott Liston; his brother, Quinn Newman; his stepsister, Kristen Stimmell and husband Chris; his grandparents, Mary Hess Davis and Miles Steven Davis of McHenry, Md.; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Music was a big part of Mr. Newman’s life. He enjoyed being outdoors. Spending time with friends and family brought him great joy. He was a very loyal son and brother, and he will be missed by everyone who knew him.

Mr. Newman’s family acknowledges he struggled with addiction. They hope by doing so, it would encourage others to use love and energy to address this epidemic.

A gathering of friends and family will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 7, the day after his birthday, in Chestnut Ridge Park Dining Hall, Bruceton Mills, W.Va. A time of sharing memories and fellowship among his family and friends will take place throughout the day. Guests are encouraged to bring a covered dish.
